Jessie Gallan, 109-year-old woman from Scotland gave out her ultimate secret to a long life.
Her Secret: Eat Your Porridge and Avoid Men!
Ms. Gallan, never married and was born in a small two-room cottage where she shared her straw mattress with five sisters and a brother.
According to Gallan, in an interview with a newspaper, her “secret to a long life has been staying away from men. They’re just more trouble than they’re worth.”
She also said that she, “made sure that I got plenty of exercise, eat a nice warm bowl of porridge every morning and have never gotten married.”
UPDATE: Gallan died in a nursing home in March 2015.
