You all know someone who just doesn’t give a f**k about anything. Sometimes it’s a good thing and sometimes it’s not but the art of not giving a f**k is something everyone should aspire to in certain aspects of life.

There are so many things that happen every day that you give a f**k about; someone being rude to you and it stays with you, thinking you’ve upset someone, co-workers not involving you, when something just doesn’t go your way or even your favorite TV show being cancelled. The problem is, when you give a f**k about all the small stuff, it brings you down and makes you upset.

You’re no longer happy going about life but constantly worried about everything.

Here’s the thing, if you stop giving a f**k about all this small stuff, imagine what life could be like. You’d be free to get on with life without being bogged down by f**ks that really don’t matter. It’s easier said than done but here are three sure fire ways to subtly not give a f**k…

1. Just because you don’t give a f**k, doesn’t mean you’re indifferent. It means you’re comfortable with being different…

When imagining giving up all f**ks, you think that life will be a peaceful and serene. That you’ll float through being completely indifferent to what’s going on around you. Being indifferent is not the same as not giving a f**k. When you’re indifferent, you don’t care about anyone or anything and that’s not right, that’s just being an arse.

Not giving a f**k applies to the small stuff, the stuff that you should just shrug off and carry on. It’s doesn’t apply to the big things in life; friends, family, purpose, love. Save your f**ks for the important stuff.

2. Not giving a f**k about adversity means you need to give a f**k about something more important than adversity…

You need to stop giving f**ks about trivial matters; okay so your ex just changed their profile picture, you missed out on a sale, you forgot to take the bins out…who cares? If you’re spending time worrying about this stuff, you probably don’t have much going on in life to give an actual f**k about. That’s your real problem.

You should only have a limited number of f**ks, spend them wisely. Use them on the stuff that matters and if you’re spending time sweating the small stuff, just stop it.

3. You only have a limited number of f**ks, pay attention to who & where you give them too…

When you were younger, you used to give a f**k about everything. Who was friends with who, who was talking about you, did that cute guy like you? But you had more energy then. You’ve matured now and realised your f**ks are limited, stop giving them out like candy.

You can accept that you don’t need to give f**ks about everything and it’s liberating. You can just carry on through life without paying attention to the small shit. It shouldn’t bother you, don’t let it.

Stop giving a f**k about everything and pay attention to what matters.
