8 Spot On Differences Between Genuine and Fake People

Sometimes it is straightforward to understand if someone is not sincere with you. But other times, it can be quite a challenge to detect a fake person. Usually, they are very nice in front of you, but talk trash behind your back.

But there are other ways to understand if someone is sincere. Here are 8 differences between genuine and fake people:

1. Looking Out For vs. Looking Down On

Genuine people want the best for everyone. They do not judge others and treat them with respect. Genuine people know that talking badly about someone does not make them better. They do not seek confidence in bringing others down. Fake people tend to look down on others. They point out their mistakes and faults and with that feel better about themselves. This only shows insecurity and not a great personality.

2. Hard to Impress vs. Easy to Please

Real people do what they think is right and best; they do not care what others think about them. Genuine people trust their gut and do not worry about other. Fake people are opposite. All they care about is their image and what other people think of them. They try to look nice and impress them any way possible.

3. Comfortable In The Shadow vs. Need The Limelight

Genuine people are not after fame and celebrity. They like what they are doing, and if that brings them some glory, that’s fine. But fake people only life for fame. They need to be at the center of attention and be noticed all the time. Only this makes them feel important and valued.

4. Humility vs. Boasting

Genuine people do not brag nor talk about themselves that much. They do not feel the need to prove something to others. Fake people are different. All they do is show off. This applies to even the smallest and most insignificant things.

5. To The Face vs. Behind Your Back

When real people have something to say, they say it to your face. Real people are not afraid to be straightforward and tell what they honestly think. They expect the same kind of honesty from you as well. Fake people are usually two-faced. They will act all nice in front of you and gossip about you behind your back. Fake people are always in the middle of drama and trash talk.

6. Actions vs. Words

Genuine people like to show their value by actions. They are ambitious and hard-working. They never make promises they cannot keep. Fake people tend to promise you the world and never actually mean it. They can sound sophisticated and qualified, but in reality, they might not be able to do anything. So be aware when you start to do business with this kind of people.

7. Honest Opinion vs. False Praise

Genuine people give compliments when they believe that you are worth it. And when they say something nice to you, they mean it. They also admire other people and try to learn from them. Fake people, on the other hand, try to point out others mistakes. And when they do praise you, they do it just because they want you to say something nice to them back. They always want to look the best.

8. Unconditional Help vs. Selfish Motives

Real people want to help others without a secret agenda. They just want to live in an active environment, where everyone around them to be happy as well. Other people’s accomplishments make them happy, not jealous. Fake people always think what would they get out of helping others. Maybe they have a favor to ask, or maybe they just want to be praised for helping out. Think twice, when asking fake people’s help, because there are always some selfish motives.

Have a critical eye on people and think, who is being honest and real with you and who is not that sincere. Keeping fake people in your life is dangerous because they will hurt you sooner or later. Fake people only care about themselves, and they will ditch you when you are no longer needed. Genuine people are in your life for good and want only the best for you.
