A University of Missouri at Columbia study found that 33 minutes of high-intensity exercise helps lower stress levels more than working out at a moderate pace. What’s more, the benefits last as long as 90 minutes afterward.

Brainwork during exercise

A minimum of 30 minutes of exercise daily or at least most of days in a week is advised by the experts. The chemical reactions occurring in the brain during exercise provide mental benefits. Cortisol and adrenaline, the body’s stress hormones are reduced, and endorphin’s the feel-good hormone and pain killer hormones is released.

Immune system

Regular exercise is important for better hormones functions and better muscles well-being. When you are in best shape and health, you are in better mental condition as well. It improves cardiovascular health, lowers blood pressure, helps control body weight, and protects against a variety of diseases. The overall well-being reduces stress related to disease, pains, and unease, and thus you lead a better life, you get more work done so stress about work and pending assignments also gets reduced.

Total body communication

According to the American Psychological Association,
“Biologically, exercise seems to give the body a chance to practice dealing with stress. It forces the body’s physiological systems all of which are involved in the stress response, to communicate much more closely than usual. And all of these are controlled by the central and sympathetic nervous systems, which also must communicate with each other.”

Better sleep

Improved sleep after exercise also helps stressed people because sleep is what many stressed people struggle with.

Exercise helps you with countless things in general and with stress in particular. However, it is important that you have a workable exercise plan that fits into your life. Start easy and as simple as walking and then gradually build up, but always make it a point to stick to your routine as much as you can. This is all about from the Exercise to Beat Stress!
