It can be a pain when all you need is a good night’s sleep, and you wake up at night all the time. However, when it comes to sleep, a disruption to your pattern is often significant. Depending on what period you wake in, your body could be trying to connect you to a higher power. It’s known as a spiritual awakening, and when you understand what your body is trying to tell you, you will be able to learn a lot about your spiritual self.
So what does each cycle mean?
It suggests that you’re enduring a significant period of stress. In these early stages of sleep, to keep waking up periodically can indicate you need to find a way to manage stress. Find an ultimate stress buster, such as yoga or using an adult coloring book. Whatever works for you, utilize it to put you back on track and help you get a better night’s sleep and it wont make you wake up at night.
You’re probably waking up and needing to go to the bathroom. The reason for this is emotional distress. When our emotions are in a flurry, our body is thrown out of whack, and it can affect our gallbladder initially. Identify the emotional crisis you’re having, and find ways to target the effects. For example, adopting a positive mindset might help overrule negativity and bad attitudes.
Something has made you angry. You keep letting something, or someone riles you up, and now it’s affecting your sleeping pattern. Make sure to let go of your anger sooner rather than later. You might have to get it out of your system by having that argument that’s been a long time coming. Once you do, you’ll sleep soundly for the whole night and you won’t wake up at night all the time.
Something spiritual might be at play. 3 am often known as ‘the witching hour’ when paranormal activity is often reported. Your body is responding to energies that your subconscious can sense, and your mind is attempting to connect to these energies. This is a theory proposed in Ancient Chinese medicine, but it’s still believed by many today.
Each of these hours has a tell-tale sign and an effect on your body. Learn to take care of yourself depending on what the symptoms are telling you, and achieve longer, more comfortable sleep when you change your ways.
