5 Types of Soulmates We Meet in Our Lifetime – Each Has A Special Place

Many of us have met several people we treat as soulmates in our lives. From high school to the ones we married and then divorced. However, despite the end – it has to be understood that each relationship with the soulmate must be significant and is intensely impactful to our lies.

Some of these stay with us forever while others leave but the memory remains. We all still have trouble building a deep soulful connection.

Well, to be honest, there are plenty of other types of soulmates that we have in life – not all are the “it was love at first sight” soulmates.

1) Friendship Soulmate

We often meet someone and instantly click from the moment you make eye contact. It would be as if you have known them forever, within minutes.

You begin to share everything about yourself with them instantly, you talk for hours and still feel that there was something left unsaid. These soulmates are known to know you better than you, yourself. They would be those that you would define as, ‘someone who gets me.’

The friendship soulmate is a miraculous gift that you must cherish before it becomes something you had.

2) The Wrecking Ball Soulmate

“Soulmates aren’t the ones who make you happiest, no. They’re instead the people who make you feel the most. Burning edges and scars and stars. Old pains and pangs, captivation and beauty. Strain and shadows and worry and yearning. Sweetness and madness and dreamlike surrender. They hurl you into the abyss. They taste like hope.” – Victoria Erickson

This is one of those soulmates who enter your life to move things around, challenging and questioning everything we thought we knew about life. Their presence changes a lot, and when we look back, we realize that before them our lives were 360 degrees different than what it became after them.

Despite the fact that these soulmates would come into your life in different forms, they often come in with your romantic interest. They act like a tornado and give you a roller-coaster ride through life.

The amazing part about this soulmate is that when the storm passes, we move onto building our lives up again but this time with perspective.

3) The Lover/Affair Soulmate

As much as you’d want them to, these soulmates will never remain in your life forever but still, even come in for a definite time; they give us a beautiful, memorable relationship. They may very well be our very first love too or someone with no-strings-attached.

They are meant to be in our lives for a period, teaching us about ourselves and other valuable lessons on how tough life could be even if they don’t want it to be. This is the “butterflies in the stomach” love.

These soulmates often remain on good terms even after the end, but the connection lasts a lifetime.

4) Complete Stranger Soulmate

This is brief.

It could be the person you sat next to in flight or the waiting room.

Usually, it goes by, “Oh! I recognize you!”. You’ll find them to look somewhat familiar. If you are someone who believes in past lives, this is what it may be.

It is a brief encounter but intimate. They usually say something you need to hear or only make you feel good.

You know that the connection meant something even though you will never see them again!

5) Divine Love Soulmate

“You felt familiar the moment I met you. A lovely sort of déjà vu. When we spoke or laughed or danced I became overwhelmed by the powerful sensation that I had been here before. And when we kissed I felt the energies of a thousand lives on our lips, like our souls had known each other all along.” – Beau Taplin

This is the soulmate we all want in our lives. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet them and never leave them.

They have qualities of all the soulmates mentioned above, and they are everything to us. They teach us, make us stronger, be there in need with deep-seated love and are our best friends.
