7 Things Narcissists Are Extremely Afraid Of; No. 5 Really Shakes Them to The Ground!

Narcissists Are Extremely Afraid

Narcissists are the centers of their world. They think highly of themselves and that’s why they seem very confident and not afraid of anything. But actually, there are some things that terrify them a lot.

Here are the 7 things, that every narcissistic person is afraid of:

1. Being Abandoned and Rejected

As they think so highly of themselves, narcissists cannot stand rejection. They need to feel that everyone cares about them and makes them the center of their world as well. To them, rejection is a painful thing that makes them insecure and they cannot handle the feeling. It might mean, that a narcissistic person has a hard time letting anyone in and trusting them because they are too afraid to take the risk of getting hurt. When things go sour, they tend to be the ones, who walk away and pretend that the break up was their decision all along.

2. Being Made Fun Of

A narcissist cares a lot what other people think about them. They care about their image and reputation. If someone is making fun of them, it feels like the end of the world. They cannot stand being in the vulnerable position. Nonetheless, they can make fun of other people and laugh at them without feeling bad.

3. Being Disrespected

Of course, nobody likes to feel disrespected. But as narcissists think so highly of themselves, they need that others do the same. Narcissists do not tolerate at all when someone is treating them without respect. They get extremely mad and take it very personally. They can hold a grudge for ages.

4. Being Ignored

Narcissists need attention. It does not even matter if it is positive or negative attention, it just needs to be there. They cannot stand when people ignore them or do not notice them. Narcissists want to be the center of everything, so they would rather cause a scene or a drama to get into the spotlight than standing still in a corner.

5. Being Exposed

A narcissist does not act always fair. They do what is the most beneficial for them. When you call them out or start accusing them of something, they lose their mind. They can get very angry at you because they can never admit their own mistakes. They can be very eager to point out other people mistakes, but they fail to recognize their own. Narcissists try to turn the situation against you and blame you for their own mistakes. They can be very manipulative and persuasive and in the end, you might be the one apologizing to the narcissist.

6. Loss of Youth and Success

Narcissists need to feel perfect. When something starts to change – their looks, their job or overall success – they do not know how to deal with it. They can become even more abusive and self-centered. They start to attack you and take everything personally, which brings a lot of negative vibes. Usually, they end up being depressed, cranky and mean.

7. Death

The last thing, that narcissists are afraid of, is death. This is quite logical because they love to feel in control of everything. Death is, unfortunately, one thing, that cannot be controlled in any way – it is a natural way of life. Narcissists cannot cope with the idea, that one day they are gone. Some narcissists might even be afraid of the life after or hell because inside they know that they have treated others badly.

Try to avoid narcissistic people in your life, because they bring a lot of negativity and drama. But if you have to deal with them, remember what they are afraid of, so you can use these against them when they try to manipulate or dominate you.
