23 Women Share Their Worst Bad Habits and This Might Comfort You

Bad habits. We’ve all got them, though some are worse than others. These women are sharing what they believe (or have been told) is their worst bad habit. Read through them and then tell us in the comments below what your worst bad habit is!

1. “I’m late for everything. The problem is I always grossly underestimate the time it will take me to get ready and then get to wherever I need to be, even if it’s somewhere I’ve gone to hundreds of time, like work…” – Gwenn, 27

2. “My boyfriend says my worst habit is picking my teeth, but how else am I supposed to get stuff from out between them? Also, it’s not something I do in public.” – Susan, 33

3. “Using text abbreviations in everyday life. I started doing it as a joke, but now I can’t help myself and keep inserting “OMG”s and “LOL”s into real-life conversations. Most of the time it’s with friends that think it’s funny, but I’ve done it at work a few times and gotten some serious side-eye for it. Send help!” – Grace, 28

4. “Facebook. I’m addicted to it. I can’t help but to obsessively check it all the time. It’s the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night. By far my worst habit!” – Marcia, 32

5. “My worst habit has to be using my credit card to buy things I don’t need… It’s getting harder to pay off my balance every month because I don’t track my spending when I’m using my credit cards!” – Amy, 42

6. “I keep buying junk food even though I’m trying to eat healthily. To make things worse, I always eat way too much of it because I do most of my snacking in front of the TV.” – Margaret, 24

7. “As embarrassing as it is to admit, my worst habit has to be picking my nose.” – Jen, 19

8. “Posting everything on social media. For some reason, I feel like if I don’t post it on social media, it didn’t happen. My Twitter and Instagram feeds are filled with completely useless posts that nobody even reads.” – Kendra, 29

9. “PROCRASTINATION.” – Catalina, 21

10. “Both at work and home, I’m always biting off way more than I can chew because I can’t seem to say “no” to anyone, even if I’m already doing way too much.” – Debra, 31

11. “I’ve been smoking cigarettes for a few years now. They’re disgusting, and I can already see how they’re affecting me, but I can’t get myself to quit.” – Patricia, 27

12. “According to my husband, my worst habit does not know what I want. The thing is, I like so many things that I don’t have a preference when it comes to where we eat or what movie we watch.” – Alice, 34

13. “My worst habit is probably buying lotto tickets. I don’t even know why I started, but every Friday I buy two tickets for the big game. I’ve never also won a dollar.” – Jessica, 41

14. “Making sure the dishes are done at the end of the day. It drives my roommate insane to find dirty dishes in the sink in the morning.” – Marie, 29

15. “I bite my fingernails.” – Martha, 18

16. “When I get nervous, I start talking way too fast, which usually means I get asked to repeat myself which just makes me more nervous.” – Carolyn, 37

17. “I’m working hard to break this habit now, but I’m always picking at my chapped lips, usually until they bleed. And when I can’t pick pieces of skin off, I chew on them.” – Lizzie, 23

18. “Going to bed late when I have to wake up early.” – Frances, 44

19. “I’m so disorganized I can never find anything, which means I spend 5 minutes looking for my car keys almost every morning.” – Heather, 25

20. “My two worst bad habits are using my treadmill for storage and paying for a gym membership every month that I don’t use. So I guess my worst practice is not working out.” – Naomi, 30

21. “Don’t tell my dentist, but I only floss before visiting him, so like twice a year.” – Pam, 28

22. “I wish I could change because my worst habit is being super harmful to everything.” – Maria, 21

23. “More often than not, I go to sleep with makeup on. Somehow I rarely end up breaking out, but I know it’s still not good for my skin, and it always ends up taking extra time in the morning to get it all washed off before I can reapply.” – Sylvia, 49
