7 Habits of Highly Productive People

Working smart is far better than working hard. Ever wonder why some people seem to get more work done than average people in less time?

Here are seven habits of highly productive people.

1. Prioritize Your Tasks

Productive people judge a task’s priority on its level of importance rather than on its attraction and liking of it. The ability to put off what can wait and to do focus on what needs to be done immediately leads to more efficiency and less stress. One of the habits from seven habits of highly productive people.

2. Strategic breaks

Small strategic breaks are more productive than you actually think. A slight shift of focus just by getting up, stretching and going for a quick cup of tea is not waste of time. On the contrary, it freshens up your mind, and you are more dynamic on your tasks. Also, stretches and getting up at regular intervals is imperative for your body and health.

Same goes for a holiday, a fun-filled, exciting and enjoyable holiday is a sure way to brighten up your personal and work life.

3. Sleep

Panda eyes, stress, and cringe! Do you expect any productivity from this person? Well, I don’t. A good night’s sleep makes you more productive, more motivated and more focused. Losing consecutive nights’ sleep is a guaranteed measure of decline in your energy, mental focus, and physical health.

4. Learn & Move On

Learn from failure and move on. Continuously berating about what went wrong in your last meeting, previous relationship, or in your life is like re-running your past, again and again, a futile practice for sure. The rule here is to stop, analyze, learn a lesson and move on.

5. Remove Distractions

Distractions are things that waste your time and are a cause of poor focus. This can be a co-worker, your habit of checking social accounts, music, noise, slow computer or anything that shifts your focus from what is being done. Adjust your environment, try talking to your colleagues, maintain your equipment, and reorganize your work place.

6. Set Goals

Nothing is impossible if you have unlimited time and unlimited resources. This, of course, is not possible in real world. Set timelines and make sure you are self-disciplined enough to adhere to your timelines.

7. Optimize Time Pockets

Small waiting times like waiting for a bus, commuting time, waiting time before the meeting are great opportunities to catch up on planning, reading, listening and interestingly for small meditation spells. These few minutes of meditation have a great effect on the upcoming event you are waiting for and for the whole day of yours. This is last one from the seven habits of highly productive people.
