Women Are More Likely to Discuss Sex Lives with Friends Than Their Partners

It is true that women tell each other everything. When date night is rolling around, it’s so familiar to discuss it with your girls, that it feels like second nature. You explain what underwear you should wear, whether you should get a bottle of wine in, and how to spice things up. In fact, women have been found to be twice as likely to discuss these things like sex life with their girls than with their partner.

While men are often slandered for spreading the news of their sexual exploits, now it becomes clear that women have a habit of their own. The study was carried out by Mecca Bingo, who opted to figure out the differences between men and women when it comes to topics to do with dating. Out of the women asked in this study, 64% admitted to discussing their partner with their friends, and often, they didn’t hold back on sexual detail. In fact, half of these women agreed to talk in depth about sex life. They even talk about how to improve sex life.

When women were asked in turn how often they discussed these things with their partner, a mere 16% said they talked about the matter. They said that instead, the conversation tended to veer towards more casual topics while on a date, including general chit-chat about work and family matters.

It seems like the research is kinda spot-on and relatable to many women. About the dating research, Mecca Bingo also found that women spend more time preparing to see their friends than when they go to look at their partner. This may seem alien to a man reading, but plenty of women would instead doll up for a night out with the girls. A third of women also admitted they opted to buy a new dress for a girl’s night, but only a fifth of the women brought something new for date night. In fact, on a girl’s night out, women often dedicate at least fifty minutes into getting dressed and made up, as well as 9% putting on slimming underwear. Sorry, fellas. It looks like it matters more to women what other women think about their sex life.

The evidence collected in this study makes one thing very clear – women have a whole life that men have no clue about. Secrets are revealed, sex life is discussed, and all the while, these girls and women are dressed to the nines. After all, girls just want to have fun.
